Examination Supervisors and Invigilators

The main role of Supervisors/Invigilators is to ensure that any test administered by the British Council runs smoothly on the test day/s and that all assigned test day duties and standards are met. You will be accountable for maintaining the integrity and reputation of the British Council and the various examination boards by ensuring that tests are delivered to prescribed customer service, security and administration standards. You will also be accountable for promoting a positive image of the British Council by providing a high standard of customer care on the test day. You will supervise invigilators and candidates sitting for exams administered by British Council Examinations, ensuring that exams are held according to the relevant British Council requirements and code of conduct.
•Excellent English skills in Listening, Reading and Speaking (minimum IELTS Band 6 or equivalent)
•Strong sense of security and responsibility
•Strong eye for detail
•Excellent customer care and people skills
•Excellent communication and organizational skills
•Ability and confidence to speak in front of a group of people
•Ability to cope with changes/difficult situations
•Managing and holding people accountable.
•Computing and IT skills
Tests are usually administered on weekdays with occasional work on Saturdays.

Full online and face to face training
A full induction and training programme
Please note that all successful candidates will be required to complete vetting and background checks in accordance with British Council policy. Candidates need to have the right to work in Cameroon.
